Crescent Rated Shopping Malls

Every shopping mall in this directory has been audited by CrescentRating against the CrescentRating Standard for Shopping Malls (CRS-SHP:2026). The audit looks at what a Muslim shopper needs during a visit: a clean, private place to pray with the Qiblah direction marked, ablution facilities and water-friendly toilets, Halal-certified food, and signs and maps that show where these facilities are.

A visit to a mall often runs across a prayer time or a meal, so these facilities decide whether a Muslim visitor can stay for the afternoon or has to leave early. A Crescent Rating tells shoppers and tour operators what a mall provides before they arrive.

Malls are rated Bronze, Silver or Gold and hold the highest level whose requirements are all in place. Bronze requires a clean prayer space with the Qiblah marked and staff who can answer questions about Muslim facilities. Silver adds signposting and maps, prayer mats, separate prayer provision for men and women, and Halal-certified meals or snacks. Gold adds a dedicated prayer room open through operating hours, an ablution space, a food outlet with a Halal-certified section, and at least one water-friendly toilet for each gender.
