GUNUNG BINTAN ADVENTURE TREK

Description

 Engage all your senses in a trek through Bintan island’s dense tropical rainforest, and be rewarded by the magnificent 360 view when you reach the 340-metre summit. During your trek, do look around you, including upwards to spot the tree tops that soar 40 metres into the sky. Marvel at the gigantic girths of ancient trees, and contrast the ultra-smooth with gnarled and knobbly barks of different tree species. Your guide will share the practical uses of the plants, and point out interesting features and highlights of the surrounding flora and fauna. Home to rare animals like silver leaf monkeys, sun birds, eagles and more, the rainforest provides city-dwellers a rare opportunity to be at one with nature. In the silence of the forest, you can appreciate the melodies of nature from the winds swishing through the leaves to the chirping of birds and insects. You will get the chance to try wild seasonal fruits such as durian, jackfruit, rambutan, mangosteen, duku, banana, papaya and pineapples. Upon descent, cool off with a dip in the princess pool at the base of a waterfall. According to local legend, a swim in the clear waters will bring you good luck!
