Located in the YanChengPu district of the city, Chateau de Chine KaoHsiung is surrounded by countless historical monuments, cultural attractions and exquisite restaurants. The commercial heyday of the old ports of Kaohsiung have come and gone. However, tourism along the nearby Love River feeds into the vintage ports of XiZiWan and the Pier-2 Art Center breathing new life into the area.
“Chateau” means “castle” in French. “de Chine” means “of China”. Chateau de Chine’s shield insignia is decorated with asian dragons and other prominent symbols from Chinese mythology, fusing together the beauty of Eastern and Western culture. THE DANCE OF LIGHTS ON THE LOVE RIVER
The exterior of the Chateau de Chine KaoHsiung takes inspiration from the stylings of prominent Japanese designer Tadashi Yamane. The outer walls are lined with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, with colorful light fixtures lined in between, giving the building a modern feel. The hotel illuminates its surroundings and reflects off of the Love River acting as a beacon of warmth and vibrancy against KaoHsiung city’s skyline.

Each floor of Chateau de Chine is decorated with works of both Eastern and Western artists. Each piece of art is carefully selected by management and pays tribute to the City of KaoHsiung. The carefully curated collection is bound together by the central theme of a deep and sincere love for the sprawling metropolis.
