The Ramadan Destination Index (RDI) explores the effect of the changing seasons of Ramadan on places. This Index is the most intensive of its sort, giving places such as countries and organizations significant data on arranging medium-to-long haul techniques to draw in and take special care of Muslim explorers during Ramadan over the next 15 years.
Proudly presented in this article is the 7th edition of the Ramadan Destination Index by Crescentrating and Mastercard. It introduces you to the Travel Readiness Indicators and how they have transformed the 2021 GMTI rankings.
Malaysia and Turkey rule the leading places in the GMTI for the next 15 years. These two places have high GMTI 2021 scores and have steady conditions for fasting during Ramadan. Saudi Arabia has not been remembered for the rankings, as the two urban communities, Makkah and Madinah, are viewed as the "holiest" urban communities for Muslims. Spending Ramadan in these urban areas is viewed as the best by Muslims.
The RDI methodology depends on a few things, such as data on weather conditions gauges of places over 15 years were figured into estimation; computations on the fasting spans of places over 15 years were considered; and the computations depend on limitations on faith practices, for example, clothing regulation limitations, halal meat limitations, and Eid occasion.

The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th rankings of the RDI 2022 were taken by Malaysia, Turkey, Indonesia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, respectively. The first, second, and fifth performers have retained their previous GMTI rankings. The RDI 2022 further indicates that Iran, Jordan, Brunei, Qatar, and Uzbekistan rank 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively, for places to visit during Ramadan. Uzbekistan performed outstandingly in 2022 as it moved 6 places up.
The second, fifth, sixth, seventh, and ninth-ranked countries are some of the places to visit in West Asia. Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman feature alongside the rest of the countries in western Asian destinations.
The first, third, fourth, and eighth GMTI-ranked nations are some of the places to visit in both the southeast and northeast of Asia. These places do not experience outrageous temperatures. Moreover, the weather conditions are essentially less warm and the greater part of them are among the most appealing places for Ramadan visitation as they have a solid impact on Muslim groups.
In the center of Asia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan are reported to be destinations for Ramadan visitations. Fasting is going to be easy in these places because it is approaching winter, and temperatures tend to be cold. Meanwhile, visitations to the east of Asia can be done in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. Fasting for the next 15 years will be simpler within these places because of agreeable temperatures as well as more limited fasting terms between November and April.
In the west and center of Africa, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Chad, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, and Sierra Leone are the countries to visit. There is an abundance of attractive natural surroundings in the west and center of Africa. What is interesting is that these countries have strategies in place to revive tourism.
In addition, Africa, Algeria, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Mauritius, Tunisia, and Sudan are nations to visit in the North, East, and South of the African continent. For example, South Africa has situated itself as a territorial center point for Islamic ventures and travel as of 2021.
Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland are places to be found in the west of Europe. With Ramadan approaching at the colder time of the year, the temperatures and fasting spans inside these places are going to decrease, and hence fasting will be more agreeable.
In the north of Europe, Ramadan can be done in Finland, Ireland, and the UK. The good news is that these countries are willing to give great fasting experiences.
Found in the northern part of America are Canada and the USA. Well, fasting lengths with daytime temperatures are going to slowly diminish around these places because of winter, in turn, resulting in fasting becoming easier during the next couple of years. The Oceania places incorporate Australia and New Zealand.
The inconsistent position among places/countries in the list is brought about by the varying temperatures and fasting terms over the time of 15 years. While the places that are found in the north of the globe will benefit from colder temperatures and more limited fasting terms, as Ramadan keeps on moving towards winter, the places on the southern side of the equator will encounter steady weather and fasting terms throughout the next 15 years. As a result, RDI considers the incredibly cool temperatures experienced by a portion of the places which could limit local area exercises during Ramadan. This article features all that you might need to be aware of in the RDI report.
