Bandarawela Hotel is a colonial-style 3-star hotel located in the middle of the city of Bandarawela in Sri Lanka. The hotel has been awarded a Crescent Rating of 3 based on the Halal facilities that are available for Muslim guests. The hotel is close to popular tourist attractions such as Hakgala Botanical Gardens, Dhowa Rock Temple, Horton plains and the natural water falls - which is makes it easier for guests to visit some of the main attractions that Bandarawela has to offer.

Muslim guests will be pleased to know that Bandarawela Hotel is not part of a gambling resort and has no discotheque. The hotel is family-friendly and provides guests with additional children’s cots, high chairs and a separate children’s menu as well.

Bandarawela Hotel is noted for its old-fashioned architectural style, nestled in a serene environment in the mountains. Guests can choose from the standard, suite and deluxe accommodation options which are simple with traditional design and are provided with modern amenities. The hotel also offers regular and express laundry services.

There are no adult TV channels available in the rooms and both free WIFI and paid wired internet are available. When it comes to sanitary facilities, the bathrooms are water-friendly.

With regard to prayer facilities at Bandarawela Hotel, prayer rooms for both male and female guests can be made available on request. Prayer mats can be provided too. Guests will also find prayer directions marked in their rooms while prayer timetables can be requested for at the front desk. 

There are a number of mosques located within the area of the hotel, including the Jumma Mosque  Bandarawela, Helamuduna Mosque, Diyathalawa Mosque,  Demodara Mosque, Kahagolla Mosque and Mirahawattha Mosque. A list of mosques located within the area of the hotel can also be provided for the guests on their request.

There are no Halal dining options available at Bandarawela Hotel since the restaurants at the hotel are not Halal certified. However, Muslim guests can choose vegan, vegetarian or seafood items on menus - after enquiring from the staff on whether alcohol, pork or pork-based items were used in the food preparation. Muslim guests who wish to dine outside the hotel will be able to find Halal restaurants within walking distance or simply 5km away from the hotel. Guests may even request for a list of Halal restaurants located nearby when they wish to dine outside hotel. 

Additional facilities for guests include a children’s playground and a tennis court for leisure and free parking for guests. Guests can take part in several leisure activities that include cycling or tennis or take part in excursions offered from the hotel to see the attractions of Bandarawela - and experience the facilities that are available within the hotel.
