The construction of a new three-story Islamic Centre in north Dublin is set to commence later this year. Valued at $50 million, the centre was approved by the Dublin City Council and will feature a mosque, school as well as an event space. Upon completion, the mosque will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 people, making it the largest mosque in Ireland.
Islam is the fastest-growing religion in Ireland, with the Muslim population in Ireland is projected to increase to around 125,000 over the next few years.
