About the index

A provincial lens on Muslim-friendly tourism in Indonesia.

The Indonesia Muslim Travel Index (IMTI) assesses how ready Indonesia’s provinces are to welcome tourists, and Muslim travellers in particular. It applies CrescentRating’s ACES framework, the model behind the Global Muslim Travel Index, to 15 provinces using 62 datasets, and turns the results into priorities that destinations and industry can act on.
