Crescent Rated Cruise Terminals
Explore trusted cruise terminals that meet CrescentRating's halal-friendly standards.
Cruise terminals in this directory are audited by CrescentRating against the CrescentRating Standard for Cruise Terminals (CRS-CRT:2026). The audit covers the hours a passenger spends at the terminal before boarding or after landing: a place to pray, ablution facilities and water-friendly toilets, Halal food, and signs that make these facilities easy to find. For many passengers, the terminal is the last place to pray on land before several days at sea.
Terminals are rated Bronze, Silver or Gold and hold the highest level whose requirements are all in place. Bronze requires a clean, private space for prayer with the Qiblah marked and staff who can answer questions about Muslim facilities. Silver adds signposting from the main walkways and on maps, Halal-certified ready-to-eat meals or snacks, prayer mats, and separate prayer provision for men and women. Gold adds an ablution space, a food outlet with a Halal-certified section, a dedicated prayer room open during operating hours, and at least one water-friendly toilet for each gender.
The rating tells cruise lines and their guests what a terminal provides, so passengers can plan prayer and meals around embarkation.
Terminal operators can enquire about a rating on the Cruise Terminal Rating page. Rated terminals are listed in this directory and on HalalTrip for as long as the rating is valid.
